Accessibility
Bookfarer should work for you however you read the web, whether you use a screen reader, magnification, voice control or only a keyboard.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, on bookfarer.com and in the Bookfarer app.
What we do today
- Every change to Bookfarer is checked automatically for common accessibility problems, such as missing labels, missing image descriptions and text that’s too faint to read.
- You can use Bookfarer with a keyboard, and a visible outline shows where you are.
- Form fields have labels. In the Bookfarer app, error messages are also announced to screen readers.
- Pages fit a phone screen without scrolling sideways.
What we haven’t done yet
We haven’t yet tested Bookfarer from start to finish with a screen reader. We’ll do that before Bookfarer opens to everyone, and update this page with what we find.
Feedback
We’re improving Bookfarer’s accessibility all the time. Soon you’ll be able to tell us directly about anything that gets in your way.
